Israeli strikes kill journalist and medics in south Lebanon amid escalating attacks

A Lebanese journalist, emergency responders, and civilians were killed as Israeli airstrikes and drone attacks intensified across southern Lebanon, targeting roads, towns, and rescue crews in one of the deadliest escalations in recent weeks.

Journalist Ahmad Hariri was martyred due to the Israeli aggression targeting the town of Deir Qanoun al-Nahr in southern Lebanon.

 

 

The south witnessed a series of scattered Israeli airstrikes targeting several towns in Nabatiyeh and Tyre, resulting in the martyrdom of medics and injuries to others, in addition to targeting vehicles and main roads with intensive drone flights.

In recent developments, Israeli aircraft launched a series of airstrikes targeting Nabatiyeh, Harouf, and areas between Ansar, Zrarieh, Qana, Deir Qanoun, Majdal Zoun, Mayfadoun, Hanniyeh, Tebnine, Qleileh, and Debaal, and Joaiyya.




Simultaneously, the outskirts of Mansouri Hay al-Mashaa, Hanniyeh, and Qleileh south of Tyre were subjected to Israeli artillery shelling.

Activists on social media circulated a photo of martyr Ali Ibrahim Fawaz from the town of Tebnine, who was targeted by a drone while buying bread.



Meanwhile, it was reported that the airstrike on the main Deir Qanoun-Borj Rahal road targeted a motorcycle in the triangle area (Borj Rahal-Deir Qanoun al-Nahr-Abbasiya). As the rescue crews from the Al-Risala Society attempted to save the motorcycle rider, the drone targeted the crew again, resulting in 6 casualties: 3 medics from the "Al-Risala Scouts," and 3 victims, including a Lebanese citizen and two Syrians, one of whom was a child.

In addition, the Israeli army carried out a major explosion in the town of Khiyam at 5 a.m.

 

 

In parallel, the Israeli army released footage claiming to show the targeting of Hezbollah elements yesterday in southern Lebanon.
