The Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, Olympic gold medalist, appeared in a look that drew attention at the 2026 French Cannes Film Festival.
The Algerian star was allowed to participate in the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games despite being excluded by the International Boxing Association (IBA) along with Taiwanese boxer Lin Yu Ting from the 2023 World Championships.
At the time, the International Boxing Association claimed that the two boxers had failed gender eligibility tests, which led to a major controversy, especially after Imane Khelif won the gold medal.
