The United Arab Emirates has decided to add 21 individuals and entities to its local terror list due to their ties to the Lebanese Hezbollah.

This was stated in Cabinet Decision No. (63) of 2026 regarding the “Approval of the List of Terrorist Persons and Organizations,” which includes the designation of 16 individuals and 5 entities on the local terror list, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in the UAE.

The decision is part of the UAE’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation in combating terrorism financing by coordinating joint regional and international efforts to target and dismantle networks involved in directly or indirectly financing terrorism and related activities.

Under the decision, all regulatory authorities are required to identify any individuals or entities associated with, or having financial or commercial relations with, the listed individuals and entities, and to take the necessary measures in accordance with applicable laws in the country, including carrying out asset-freezing actions within less than 24 hours.

The decision reflects the UAE’s firm and unwavering stance against terrorism and extremism in all their forms and manifestations, and its efforts to prevent any sources of funding for terrorist groups and organizations, as part of the state’s commitment to enhancing security and stability and confronting anything that threatens community safety or seeks to undermine regional and international peace.
