The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, held a phone call this morning with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He discussed with him the current situation in Lebanon and the region in light of recent developments and affirmed the solidarity of the Lebanese people with the brotherly people of the UAE during these sensitive circumstances that the region is going through.
The President of the Republic briefed Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed on the latest updates regarding the Lebanese American Israeli meetings taking place in Washington.
The President of the United Arab Emirates thanked President Aoun for his sentiments, affirming that the UAE always stands by Lebanon and its people, especially during the current critical phase, and supports the steps taken by Lebanon to achieve security and stability and to restore its sovereignty over all its territory.
