The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement issued today, Tuesday, expressed the Kingdom’s concern over the ongoing military escalation in the region, calling for calm, restraint, and the avoidance of further escalation, while supporting Pakistani mediation and diplomatic efforts aimed at reaching a political solution to prevent the region from descending into greater tension and instability.
The Kingdom affirmed that the continuation of the escalation does not serve the interests of the region or the world.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of restoring international maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to its normal state, as it was before February 28, and called for ensuring the safe and secure passage of vessels without any restrictions.
