A senior Iranian official warned on Monday that Tehran will consider any US attempt to intervene in the Strait of Hormuz as a violation of the ceasefire, following President Donald Trump’s announcement of an operation to escort ships stranded in the strategic waterway.

Ebrahim Azizi, head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Iranian Parliament, stated on the platform X that any US intervention in the new maritime system of the Strait of Hormuz will be considered a violation of the ceasefire.
