The Israeli army spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, issued an evacuation warning to residents of 11 villages in southern Lebanon.
The statement reads: “Urgent warning to residents in Lebanon living in the following towns and villages: Doueir, Arabsalim, Al-Sharqiya (Nabatiyeh), Jibshit, Braachit, Srifa, Dounin, Braiqaa, Qaaqaaiyet Al-Jisr, Al-Qossaybeh (Nabatiyeh), Kfar Sir.”
He continued: "In light of Hezbollah's violation of the ceasefire agreement, we are forced to act against it strongly."
He added: "For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately and move away from the villages and towns by at least 1,000 meters into open territories. Anyone near Hezbollah elements and its facilities and combat means endangers their life."
Israel launched strikes in southern Lebanon on Saturday, with the Israeli army stating that it destroyed about 50 Hezbollah infrastructures in various areas during the past 24 hours.
Despite a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah that took effect on April 17 and was later extended following direct talks between the Lebanese and Israeli ambassadors in Washington, the Israeli army continues to carry out attacks, particularly in southern Lebanon.
