Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Thursday that the United States naval blockade imposed on Iranian ports will worsen unrest in the Gulf region and will fail to achieve its objectives.

 

He added in a statement that any attempt to impose a naval blockade or similar restrictions that contradict international law will be doomed to failure.

He added that these measures will not only fail to strengthen regional security, but in fact constitute a source of tension and a disruption to lasting stability in the Gulf.
