The Iranian national currency recorded today Wednesday its lowest level against the US dollar, according to two currency monitoring websites, amid an ongoing American blockade of Iranian ports.

The exchange rate of the Iranian currency in the black market reached about 1.80 million rials per US dollar, according to the websites Bonbast and Alan Chand. When the war broke out two months ago, the exchange rate was 1.70 million rials per US dollar.

Iran officially follows several fixed exchange rates, but the two websites are usually used as an indicator for unofficial market prices.
