As part of its efforts to advance digital transformation and build a data-driven, interconnected smart government, Digital Dubai has launched the AI Integration Framework document for government entities. This step reinforces Dubai’s position as a global hub for adopting AI technologies, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The framework aims to shift from individual initiatives to an interconnected institutional system that supports comprehensive digital transformation, enabling government entities to apply AI through a unified methodology that ensures system integration and maximizes impact on performance and quality of life.

The framework focuses on addressing the challenges of employing AI in a balanced and effective manner, emphasizing the importance of data quality, governance, and adherence to ethical and regulatory frameworks as essential factors for the success of these technologies.

The framework offers a practical model that classifies AI uses into four main areas: supporting internal operations, enhancing access to institutional knowledge, providing smart services to clients, and delivering knowledge services and information to the public.

This classification helps government entities prioritize and enhance the integration of initiatives, and accelerate AI adoption within a unified system, thereby improving performance efficiency and service quality, and supporting data-driven decision-making.

The framework is characterized by its flexibility and global applicability, enhancing Dubai’s role as a leading laboratory for developing AI-based smart government models.
