Southern Lebanon has witnessed a significant military escalation in recent hours, as the Israeli Air Force launched airstrikes alongside artillery shelling targeting several towns, amid increasing displacement from villages south of the Litani River.
Concurrently, Israeli warplanes flew at low altitude over the capital, Beirut, and villages in Mount Lebanon.
The Israeli Air Force launched a raid on the center of eastern Zawtar village, coinciding with concentrated artillery shelling targeting the outskirts of the towns of Mayfadoun and Yohmor al-Shaqif. The shelling also hit the river valley between Deir Siryan, Yohmor, and Zawtar.
A correspondent from Annahar reported that the Israeli raids are concentrated in western Zawtar village, in conjunction with continuous artillery shelling.

Additionally, a correspondent from Annahar mentioned a wave of displacement toward Beirut from the city and villages in the Nabatieh district due to ongoing confrontations and Israeli violations, following the directives of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to strongly hit Hezbollah targets.
The warning is renewed
Moreover, the Israeli army renewed its warning via “X” to residents of southern Lebanon not to approach more than 80 towns, and to stay away from the Litani River area and the Salhani and Saluki valleys.
The Israeli army carried out a large demolition operation in the town of Khiam, coinciding with massive explosions toward the towns of Taybeh, Aitaroun, and Bint Jbeil. Additionally, the outskirts of Shamaa village were shelled with several artillery shells at dawn.
The Israeli army dropped leaflets in Mansouri village in the Tyre district, containing a list of specific village names and calling on residents to leave.
Following this, villages south of the Litani River witnessed heavy displacement towards Sidon city following the attacks that hit more than one area, coupled with the warnings issued by the Israeli army to several villages.
Moreover, the deployment of UNIFIL patrols was recorded in several villages south of the Litani River.
In the day's first operations, Hezbollah announced it targeted a gathering of Israeli army soldiers in Taybeh village using a kamikaze drone, and also targeted an Israeli evacuation force in the same village with a kamikaze device.
Yesterday, Saturday, the Israeli air force launched attacks on dozens of "Hezbollah" targets in southern Lebanon.
In a related context, the newspaper "Israel Today" reported that a senior Israeli official stated that disarming "Hezbollah" is a goal for Israel.
