BEIRUT: Being a thriving metropolis with a busy nightlife, the city offers nearly infinite venue options for summer lovers. On July 3, the city boasted the inauguration of a new vibrant experience in its heart: the Movenpick's Skyline Rooftop Lounge.

“Skyline Rooftop Lounge is an experience itself. You get to feel a different type of magic while enjoying the marvelous view of the Mediterranean Sea,” said Nour Haidar, communications manager of Mövenpick Hotel Beirut.

More than 450 attendees from media representatives, public figures and influencers attended the opening to discover the new spot in town while enjoying a night of memorable views, great food and warm company. These included: actresses like Ward El Khal, Maguy Bou Ghosn, Rawane Tahtouh, and Rita Harb; actors such as Carlos Azar, Qays Sheikh Najib, and Bassem Moughnieh; producer Jamal Sannan; director Phillip Asmar; and a wide range of Instagram bloggers.

Visitors indulged in sumptuous sushi bites, mini burgers, cheesy meatballs, mini tarts, macaroons, and chocolate pudding; they also quenched their thirst with cocktail drinks such as Bloody Mary, Jamaica, Gin Tonic and quite a variety more.

Even though it’s a rooftop, visitors barely had the time to stargaze; they were busy enjoying entertainment shows as the night featured a live band which performed a variety of English and Arabic songs, a trumpet player, a violinist, and a Latino dancer and singer and backup dancers who set the party on fire.

Skyline offers white comfortable lounge sofas for those looking for an intimate sit-down, and chairs with side tables for those who want to sit at the edge of their seats and party all night. Additionally, it is centered by a huge round bar embraced by flashing color lights and it expands with stairs that lead to a smaller VIP lounge with a higher view.

“The place satisfies all tastes; I feel like I can come watch a romantic sunset around 5 pm and stay until the night and enjoy a wild party,” said Maya Freim, one of the attendees.

Overlooking the Mediterranean, the rooftop redefined sunset destinations while offering a fancy dining atmosphere. Located atop Mövenpick Hotel Beirut, it is an ideal spot to chill and enjoy a mesmerizing view or dance and party until dawn.

In general, the menu includes: wraps such as chicken and shrimps; salads like crispy salmon and crazy crab salads; bites like fried cheese balls, vegetable spring rolls, oriental tapas, and salmon tartare; charcuterie board; Sashimi platters.

Whether partiers want a drink that's long or short, refreshing or sweet, Skyline’s menu of drinks has it all. Namely, it serves a full range of spirits and specialty cocktails such as: Spicy Mint Avocado, Tequila premium, Royal Tahiti, Deep Blue Sea, Cucumber Chiller, Raspberry Mohiti, Gin premium, and several others.

Mövenpick Hotel Beirut is a five-star beach resort with a twist, featuring a range of restaurants, meetings and conference rooms as well as a Spa & Health Club; it was named as Lebanon’s Leading Luxury Hotel in 2017 and Lebanon’s Leading Resort in 2018.

“We are upscaling the level of the hospitality sector by bringing the best to our guests and Skyline is the top,” said Chadi Gedeon, general manager of Mövenpick Hotel Beirut.
