BEIRUT: Joyce Azzam is the first Lebanese woman to climb the seven summits of the world. She concluded her journey three hours ago right after she reached her last destination: Mount Everest, the highest mountain peak in the world.
Her journey began on April 9 and reached its destination today.
"We reached the summit of Everest," Azzam mentioned in her Instagram post, thanking her supporters.
Throughout her journey, the athlete who's also a University professor, shared the progress of her trip with her Instagram followers.
Raising Lebanon’s name high was mentioned several times in Azzam's posts, and she didn't fail to do so.
