Annahar Editor-in-Chief Nayla Tueni receives the 2019 Dubai Lynx Festival award (Annahar)

BEIRUT: Annahar captured three awards at the 2019 Dubai Lynx Festival for printing an entirely blank newspaper on October 11, 2018, sending shockwaves throughout the country.

Annahar Editor-in-Chief Nayla Tueni accepted the awards in the print and publishing, brand experience and motivation, and public relations categories.

After a more than six months government formation crisis, following the country's first parliamentary elections in nine years, Annahar elected to issue a blank issue on that day to protest the perpetuate political gridlock.

The decision sent ripples across Lebanon's different institutions, sparking a much-needed conversation over the current state affairs and what needs to be done moving forward.

Dubai Lynx brings together top creatives, the world’s best brands, fledgling start-ups and everyone in between to learn, network and celebrate creativity in communications.
