BEIRUT: After disappearing from the music scene for a hiatus, the Arab rock star Fadee Andrawos is back again with an inspirational story to share with his fans.
In 2014, due to a cycle of pills and injections he took to reach a certain body shape, he discovered that he has a dilated aorta, which is the main vein of the heart. Thus, his only choice was to perform an open heart surgery.
“I was seeking perfection as a Thai boxing player and I wanted to have the perfect shape. The side effects were huge and that put my life at risk. After the operation, when I shared a video of what happened to me, I was thrilled to know that many people were motivated and encouraged hearing my story,” he said in his on-air interview with Annahar.
Andrawos had gained fame when he participated in the hit television show Star Academy 3 back in 2005. He attracted a large fan base due to his attractive appearance, charismatic personality and unique style.
After that, Andrawos marched towards two roads of success: one as a singer and another as an actor. He built himself an image of a rock star with several hit songs such as “Tlaai Meni," "Lamma Tkoun," “Shaddetni,” and many others. Additionally, he acted in many series and movies including: “Fadi wRadi”, “Sabaya” and several others.
“If someone wants to be happy or successful, he shouldn’t wait till he is ready. He should work every day with a step closer towards his goal and his grand opening,” he said.
Refusing to let his health issue hinder his path, he returned to his audience in the role of “Majdi” in the television series “Habibi Al Ladoud” which is currently airing on LBC. Majdi is a poor man who works with a mafia and who falls in love with Rima, a rich girl.
“There is a lot of love and hate between Majdi and Rima. Such relationships do exist in real life, but it’s not the number of green papers that should determine whether a relationship is successful or not,” he told Annahar.
In addition to that, he will be starring in a film called “Sharaao Al Hachiche” which is a combination of comedy and inspirational messages.
“It was a great experience to work with the actors and the director of the movie. I personally wrote, composed, and sang the film’s song and I was happy to receive a lot of positive feedback,” he said.
Moreover, Andrawos has elated his fans with the announcement of his new song “Aam Nelteii” which will be released in January 2019. It is composed by Rawad Raad, arranged by Tony Abi Khalil and lyricized by Neeman Al Teres.
