BEIRUT: As part of its annual festivities, Anghami held an event Thursday at The Westin Dubai Seyahi Hotel where American hip-hop singers French Montana and Lebanese-Canadian Massari, and hometown favorite, Lebanese pop phenom Maya Diab surprised their fans with the announcement of a new song.
On Saturday, September 29, the song will be released exclusively on Anghami’s platform, as part of the company’s head of international partnerships Wassim SAL Slaiby's effort at expanding Anghami’s lineup of music.
A music video will be released directly after the song.
Massari noted his thoughts about the collaboration.
“I wanted to help remind this new generation that music is the perfect tool that allows us to break down any and all cultural differences or barriers. Music brings us all together,” he said.
Diab hit the stage with an energetic performance that elated the crowd.
Slaiby, one the other hand, seized the opportunity to thank Anghami for supporting his “crazy” ideas from day one.
“Those who know me, know I only work based on passion and family. I am very proud to see what Anghami and the team have come up with. Today is a special day and I’m looking forward to many more special days to come,” he noted.
Prior to the party, Anghami, in partnership with its media partner Choueiri group “Digital Media Services DMS”, organized a conference revolving around the powerful role of advertising companies; participants included more than 100 leaders in marketing, advertising and media industries.
During the conference, Anghami co-founders Elie Habib and Eddy Maroon unveiled to the audience the latest updates to Anghami, the leading music streaming platform in the Middle East and North Africa. They discussed the new look and the top-notch features after the launch of Anghami 4.0.
Habib also shared Anghami’s transformational journey from a streaming app to a music entertainment powerhouse in the music industry. In addition to that, Maroon stated that Anghami is in the dawn of an era full of innovations, new “Anghami Originals”, and will be producing new hits in association with its strategic partners.
