BEIRUT: Annahar and the American University of Beirut inaugurated Thursday their latest partnership aimed at addressing Lebanon's current challenges during an event held at AUB's Assembly Hall.
The issue, titled "Ensuring Lebanon's Continuity and Investing in its Youth," aims at kickstarting vital Lebanese sectors by presenting practical solutions to the current conundrum.
"What we are launching today is not just an exceptional issue, but a roadmap for the future," said AUB President and guest Editor-in-Chief Fadlou Khuri, as 123 pioneers in their respective fields attempt to initiate a dialogue within the realms of politics, economics, education, health, and culture.
"Now is the time for the younger generation to play their part, and we pledge to not leave them behind but work alongside them," he told those gathered.
Meanwhile, Annahar Editor-in-Chief Nayla Tueni maintained the importance of pulling Lebanon out its slump by "presenting a blueprint for qualitative investments in its different creative fields."
Within the issue, over 100 contributors set forth their vision for Lebanon while presenting detailed strategies to pull vital Lebanese sectors out of the current slump and safeguard the country's economy.
