Syrian worker falls to his death working on Kobayat festival

BEIRUT: A 32 year-old Syrian man working on the light installations of the Kobayat International Festivals has fallen to his death in a tragic incident. 

The man was part of the team tasked with setting up the light installations at the musical & cultural event in the heart of Akkar.

He was transported to the 'Our Lady of Peace' Hospital where he later succumbed to his wounds.

Another 28-year-old Syrian man was also injured in the incident and is recovering in hospital. He suffered several fractures on his body.

The statement released by the festivals commitee offered its condolences to the deceased man while maintaining that the festival will go on without any modifications.
