BEIRUT: Two young men identified as Salah H. and Adel D. were arrested by authorities after entering the Tannourine Cedar Reserve in an attempt to meet international superstar Shakira.
The two men were released shortly after the event was over.
The exclusive gathering was put together by the Lebanese consul in Colombia Edmond Feris Harb who invited members of the municipality along with their wives.
Tannourine is Shakira's Lebanese hometown.
The global singer arrived at Beirut’s Rafik Hariri International Airport Thursday evening ahead of a highly anticipated concert at the Cedars Festival Friday.
