BEIRUT: Lebanon's trash has made its way to Cyprus, according to a Facebook post by AFP photo-journalist Patrick Baz.

In the post, Baz shared a photo sent to him by Barbara Timme accompanied by the message "Hi Patrick, the plastic from Lebanon arrives on one of the most hidden beaches of Karpaz... in north Cyprus."

Lebanese were quick to mock the incident, with one user praising "Lebanon's national exports."

Annahar could not independently verify where the photo was captured or the authenticity of the claims.
