BEIRUT: Lebanon’s prime minister has met with Saudi Arabia’s powerful crown prince during his trip to Paris, posting a selfie with the heir to the Gulf Kingdom and the King of Morocco Mohammed VI.

Saad Hariri posted the selfie on his personal Twitter account, accompanied by the caption "no comment."

The Lebanese premier has seen his relationship with Mohammed Bin Salman alleviated in recent weeks in the wake of his visit to Riyadh last month. Hariri visited Paris on Friday when Lebanese officials secured over $11 billion to bolster the country's economy and ailing infrastructure at the Cedre donor conference.

Meanwhile, Bin Salman is expected to sign a “strategic partnership” with French President Macron in the Elysee Palace on Tuesday, with France hoping to profit from the prince’s shake-up of the conservative kingdom to forge a new kind of commercial relationship.
