BEIRUT: Authorities believe a man fatally shot on Sunday his sister-in-law before turning the gun on himself in Anfeh, North Lebanon over an apparent family dispute.
A preliminary investigation suggests the man, a retired Internal Security Forces (ISF) member identified by his initials M.S, shot his sister-in-law in the head following a dispute over a family house in Anfeh while she was working in her hair salon, which is located right next to his own clothing store.
After fleeing the scene of the crime, the man took his own life as members of the ISF and military surrounded his house.
According to people close to the family, M.S was a hot-head who lived alone and frequently clashed with his brother over the family inheritance.
His brother was admitted to hospital after suffering a traumatic shock in the wake of the brutal attack.
