BEIRUT: A man entered Monday the Lebanese-Canadian Hospital in Sin El Fil, and began smashing the facility, after receiving news of his brother's death.

A video shot while the incident was occurring went viral on social media showing the man breaking up a hall and nurse station.

The deceased man's family accused the hospital of negligence, saying that the patient was primarily transferred to the hospital complaining only of stomach pain, and no one was expecting this tragic outcome.

The video shows scenes of shattered glass and thrown furniture, and a shot of the dead man's body covered with a blanket, with his brother's frantic screams in the background.

The man arrived Sunday at around 6:30 pm, and died at midnight. Cameras show that his brother crashed the hospital accompanied by other men after receiving a call from the deceased man's wife, a source at the hospital told Annahar.

Head of the Syndicate of Private Hospitals, Suleiman Haroun told Annahar in a phone call that he contacted the hospital's administration, to inquire about the incident. "The patient arrived at the hospital, and was provided with all the needed services, yet later suffered complications that led to his death," Haroun said.

"Would it be logical that whenever someone dies in a hospital, his family comes and crashes the place?" Haroun asked.

Investigations are still ongoing regarding the incident.
