BEIRUT: Under the patronage of Commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces, General Joseph Aoun, the “Lebanese & Proud” NGO has decided to honor the Army Forces, on their 75th anniversary, on August 1, 2020 with a live concert at 8:45 p.m. Beirut time which will be broadcasted on 6 local TV stations.

The TV stations are MTV, LBC, New TV, NBN, Future TV, and Teleliban.

Nathalie Rahal, vice president of “Lebanese and Proud” told Annahar that the aim of this virtual event is to “spread positivity in the country at a time that it really needs it.”

Rahal stated that the army has always been for the people and by the people.

“We all have a responsibility towards the army, the last nonsectarian institution in Lebanon, and this is our way of giving it back,” she noted.

The event will be executed by ICE International Events, held at the Legend Venue Naher El-Kaleb with only a virtual audience.

95% of the expenses of the event have been donated. The 5 main artists of the event Melhem Zein, Joseph Attieh, Assi Helani, and Ghassan Saliba will be performing free of charge as a tribute to the Lebanese Army’s sacrifices.

The composer Michel Fadel will orchestrate a musical piece performed by 50 musicians and 30 choir members. Dance also will show its support to the Army with a magical performance by Nadim Cherfane, known for choreographing the group Mayyas.

Rahal urged the Lebanese living both in Lebanon and abroad to tune in to the event on the above mentioned TV stations in support of the Army.
