BEIRUT: The Lebanese Army has dismantled a sleeping terror cell comprising 14 suspects after raiding the Bab El Tebanneh's neighborhood in the northern city of Tripoli, a security source told Annahar.

Three suspects were arrested Thursday while 11 others were apprehended Friday, the source added, noting that the military seized weapons, ammunition and explosive belts during the raids.

The raids are the latest in a series of busts targeting terror sleeper cells across Lebanon, which has been the scene of several attacks claimed by the Islamic State group since the breakout of the conflict in neighboring Syria.
